Allison sighed as a nurse left. She looked back to the little girl and gently squeezed her hand. “It's going to be okay. Just try to stay awake, don't close your eyes can you do that for me?” She asked hoping the girl would try to stay conscious. “Get a heart monitor over here, blood pressure, saturation, temperature” Allison said going down the list as people walked by. “Take her into trauma three now and get a CT ready, page neuro, ortho if available” Allison said knowing that was probably a shot in the dark she knew she was pretty much alone in this.
Allison put gloves on now as she started to examine her head, as someone else examined the girls leg. The head injury was more pressing at the moment. This was not good it was open head trauma with a good chance of it being a Basilar skull fracture. Her pupils also indicated bleeding in her brain. She may have a Subdural hematoma The cat scans would validate the problem. She would also need surgery, that was out of her jurisdiction but she needed to stabilize her first. She needed her vitals, where was that nurse. She also probably needed a probe to monitor her for ICP. Which was also another potential problem.
[/ul]
