Three years have passed since Harry Potter brought about the fall of Lord Voldemort yet the wizarding community still feels the burden of the aftermath of his reign of terror. Few households still live in fear, many have finally managed to move on and many still hide out of fear or guilt. But Haven University is a place that many Hogwarts graduates, amongst others, can feel safe and move on to start a new beginning.
For year the university has been a place for young adults to further their education, to learn new skills, meet people and find out who they are...finding out who they are can reach all limit and uncover many surprises in uncertain situations. A strange presence looms in the corridors of the campus, some might feel it reminiscent of old times, feared times that the past is trying to forget.
The university has been victim to a string of sinister pranks, at least that’s how it started; writing on walls, anonymous owl mail, vanished possessions...but now violence escalates from the blinded situation, deeper, darker meanings and fear that has struck many within the school. The culprit is unknown. Students are cautious. Friendships created are being tested, relationships tried, enemies questioned. The only link to this unknown force is the mysterious signature, VII. Warnings were given. Messages displayed telling to flee the town. To leave before there was no option. Many did. Many wish they did.
Recently the attacks have become exactly that, attacks. Students following the wishes of anonymous writers, more warnings have appeared throughout the University, glowering at the young generation from walls and there is no escape. Before a stop could be put to the trials of this prankster, before any who wished to leave could do so...they were trapped. Powerful and old magic locked all of those at the university and surrounding area in Haven Town. Quite literally there is no escape from your problems.
Great wizards in the town have tried to break the spell, students found it a game to begin with, breaking down the enchantment, but none prevailed. Owls can not seem to fly out with the town, portkeys, apparating, none of it works, no way to signal help, they are alone. And the cause behind it must still be in Haven giving little inhabitants any comfort. For that was when the killings started. Murders in unusual ways, different and scattered. Fear had once again struck the wizarding world.
Now the signs have changed, darker, threatening, dangerous. What do these signs mean? What will they lead to? What is the purpose of this? Even the thought could make students wish they had left when given the opportunity. Things may seem bad but it’s going to get a hell of a lot worse.
