Time of where the RP is set in: Present.
Plot/Story: It is the year 2010. It has been over a decade since the defeat of Lord Voldemort at the hands of Harry Potter. Harry and his friends from Hogwarts are all grown, and have even begun having their own children. With Dumbledore deceased, Minerva McGonnagall became the Headmistress of Hogwarts, but in the last year she stepped down to Headmaster Hoffman.
Under Headmaster Hoffman's guidance, the school became more disciplined, in the sense that they learned much more defensive magic and school became much more like training for a young army.
The Ministry has reached difficult times as well. After the fall of Voldemort, the remaining Death Eater's were sent to Azkaban. But they had friends. And those friends began laying the plans for a takeover. The plans were long and tedious, but over the last decade they have grown. And now, the Ministry is close to falling.
The Death Eater's were freed, and began calling themselves the True Purebloods. They began assaulting and killing Muggles and Wizards alike, and all manner of magical creatures. Open war was fought between the Wizards and creatures.
The Muggles lay in fear of what they do not know. The Wizarding community lies in fear of what it does know. And the students of Hogwarts struggle to make it through the day, so they may fight later.
What side will you join? Will you be a True Pureblood? One of the hardworking Ministry workers battling for the power of the Nation? Or a Hogwarts student, working through the day, just trying to live through those difficult teenage years?
Other notes: The great thing about this board is the plot is very open. You don't have to follow it. If you want to strictly RP a student, you can do that!
